Carbondale Homeless Assistance

CHA PicCarbondale, Colorado is not a place that comes to mind when you think of homelessness.  That being said, we do have some people in need of assistance locally.  The Carbondale Homeless Assistance Program (CHA) was born out of the belief that a few local citizens can be helpful to the immediate needs of our local homeless.  The Carbondale Rec Center has been helpful in getting punch passes so people can take a shower if needed.  The local churches have been beneficial in providing meals, namely the Faith Lutheran Church offers a meal the 3rd Saturday of every month.  Some of the members of CHA have published a “Street Sheet” resource list that we have posted in various places around town.  If you would like to get involved with the Carbondale Homeless Assistance Program, please join their page on Facebook.
