2013 “Best Town Ever”

Jaywalker’s amazing home – Carbondale, Colorado, is recognized this month by Outside magazine as one of 17 finalists in the “Best Town Ever” crowdsourced contest. The stated goal of the online contest was to find “America’s best place to be healthy”. Ample trailheads, nearby adventure, and great farmers markets were some of the criteria used in the selection. Carbondale was noted for its prime trout fishing, food and festivals, superior bike trails, and access to the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness area. The one glaring omission was the world’s best Addiction Treatment Center and Recovery community ! We are beyond blessed to live in such a beautiful, vibrant, and progressive community. Although I haven’t visited all the finalist cities, Carbondale remains my first choice for the “Best City Ever”.
