Aspen Ice Karting operates on Kodiak Ski Lake, Colorado. The lake is a man-made lake that is relatively shallow and freezes over during the coldest part of our winter. It provides a beautiful backdrop for an exciting time driving karts on the ice. The ultimate of fun activities to do in Aspen!

This section of the Roaring Fork River through the preserve has a well-deserved rep as a perfect gentle paddling destination. Put in at the Wildwood School, just a few minutes out of town off Highway 82 toward Independence Pass. Groups of locals trade-off float and shuttle laps between the school and the bridge downriver (with limited parking, taking turns minimizes hassle), while savvy visitors rent SUPs (including a life jacket and dry bag) from local outfitters that provide a guide and shuttle service for a stress-free experience. Pack a picnic in your dry bag to enjoy at “the beach,” and keep your eyes peeled for great blue herons, mule deer, and muskrats along the way.

Our 5 cabins were home to quarry workers a century ago. The cabins have been handsomely renovated. Each cabin is unique, but all have porches, hardwood floors, log beds, baths, kitchens, and charcoal grills. Around the cabins and among the spruce and aspen trees are campfire rings, picnic tables, barbecues, and a hefty marmot that lives under the woodpile and pops up to check on our guests.

Inflatable kayaks, also known as duckies, provide the perfect introduction to kayaking, as they are more stable than a hard shell kayak and easier to navigate. This is an exciting twist on a traditional raft trip, as you are in charge of guiding your kayak, but we are still there to help you along the way.

Shrine Mountain is a well-known, but unranked peak in the southern section of the Gore Range in Colorado. The mountain was named for its excellent view of Mount of the Holy Cross. While still located far enough from paved roads to maintain a backcountry mood, Shrine Mountain Inn is the easiest 10th Mountain System accommodation to reach. Near the mountain is also the Shine Mountain Inn, which consists of three different cabins, Walters, Chucks, and Jays. We have both Chucks and Jays reserved with each cabin accommodating 12ppl.
Clients hike 3.2 miles to the hut on snowshoes with an elevation gain of 600ft. All food and gear will be carried by group in backpacks or pulled by staff in sleds.
