Ginny Bahr

Ginny received her Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University in Upstate New York. As an avid backpacker, climber, and traveler Ginny guided small groups throughout Alaska, Canada, and the “Lower 48” for five years. Living on Maui, HI, Ginny enjoyed the surf, jungle adventures and the Hawaiian culture while working as a special education high school teacher.

Ginny returned to the mainland for graduate school at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. There she received her Master’s degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Wilderness Therapy. Ginny has worked in conjunction with the Boulder County Probation providing education, group therapy, and individual counseling for drug and alcohol offenders. She has also worked as a wilderness therapist for a transitional living program in Boulder, supporting young men in recovery. Ginny’s work combines her wilderness experiences, educational/guiding skill, and counseling background to support clients in fostering healthy relationships with self, others, and the environment.

Ginny is currently in the certification process for level two addiction counselors through the Colorado Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division.
