Solutions Counselor: Jacquie Wheeler, MA, LPC, CACIII

Jacquie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Addictions Counselor, Level III, in the State of Colorado. Prior to returning to live in the Roaring Fork Valley, she had a private practice in Boulder focusing on recovery from addictions, trauma and eating disorders.

Jacquie was also employed for eight years as a Chemical Dependency Counselor for Boulder County’s Addiction Recovery Center. During this time she worked extensively with adults, adolescents and their families, collaborated with the Drug Court and facilitated evidenced-based groups and trainings. She has comprehensive training and experience utilizing tools and methods such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, EMDR and Body-Mind Psychotherapy.

Jacquie received a Master of Arts Degree in Somatic Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. Additionally, she has a background in education and completed a Master of Science in Education from SUNY Cortland.

A former Aspen resident in the 1980’s, Jacquie is happy to be living back in the Roaring Fork Valley with its active recovering community. She lives with her husband in Glenwood Springs where they look forward to visits from their grandson.

In addition to her work at Jaywalker Lodge, Jacquie is a psychotherapist and Program Director at Pyramid Peaks Center in downtown Carbondale.
