Client Expectations
What To Bring and What Not To Bring
Jaywalker Lodge is located on Main Street in Carbondale, CO. We use what is now known as the Colorado Model of Care, or the Open Community Model. We provide a very structured level of care while still actively integrating into the local community as a welcome and needed asset as volunteers and role models.
In this model we have found certain rules and expectations to be necessary in the first 90 days of treatment. The following is a list of what to bring if you have it and what to leave behind for the first phase of the process.
What to bring if you have it:
- A weeks worth of clothes suitable for all seasons and activities (Laundry facilities are available)
- Musical Instrument, if you play one
- iPod or MP3 Player (iTouch, iPad, iPhone are not allowed)
Recreational gear for:
- Skiing or Snowboarding
- Mountain or Road Biking
- Rock Climbing
- Golf
- Hiking
- Softball
- Fishing
What to leave at home:
- Computer
- Cell Phone
- Bedding and Towels (we will provide everything)
